Nothing to get excited for? The PSPgo launched in 2009 as the first download-only portable gaming machine, Ad-hoc party debuted in the U.S. No games to play? This year packed Resistance: Retribution, Patapon 2, Hammerin' Hero, Rock Band Unplugged, MotorStorm: Arctic Edge, LittleBigPlanet PSP, a ton of other titles AND the launch of PSP Minis, smaller games that were downloadable only. After years of being the whipping boy of the portable landscape – after years of dealing with "It doesn't have any games," "The battery sucks," and every other comment non-Sony fans could come up with, the PSP delivered in a way the industry had never seen. When all is said and done, 2009 might just be remembered as the 365 days in which the PSP fought back. ![]()
